The Martian Anomaly

In the silence of the Data center of the Mars Science Lab were two confused scientist.
"It must be a mistake" said Jako "Does not seem likely sir, Even if the MastCam was malfunctioning two Navcams show the same exact same scene." with that I pulled the last Navcams footage on the Big screen."They showed the exact same thing from a different angle. The empty Mars landscape stretching on for miles, suddenly distortion occurs on the cams maybe the same time the magnetic field reading spike. Suddenly several four legged beings come into view, they are covered in red dust and moved with a staggering motion but surprisingly fast for their bulky bodies. They reach the rover and then the feed goes blank.
"What could they be" Jako thought out aloud. "Can't tell you sir I am a radio wave expert not an Extraterrestrial expert." I said. Suddenly the BigScreen flickered to life "Sir curiosity is back online, We have an incoming transmission" I shouted jumping out of seat. "What is it" asked Jako. "Its an executable file, that is impossible Curiosity is not supposed to do that" I replied "Run it lets see what it is" "But sir..." "Do it NOW" Jako shouted.
Apprehesively I started the execution of the file. The screen showed the representation of the solar system with Mars pulsating in a red glow. "Is that it" asked Jako. "I would think so it does not seem to be doing anything... Oh no" suddenly the colour from my face drained "Whats wrong" then he noticed it too the executable was deleting all recieved data records from Curiosity. "Shut it down" Jako shouted I was way ahead of him.
5 mins later after the reboot cycle was completed.
"Restart the system and restore from the offsite backups" Jako ordered "Doing that now sir." Curiosity was back online the systems functioning normally and back to the place where it was. "Good now lets see the footage" "I am afraid sir the last footage of the cameras and sensors were not sent to the offisite backups centers, they are lost forever".

The Unlikely Villan

"Open up" shouted a voice followed by a loud bang on the door. I froze and felt a cold run down my spine. Had they come for me already. I looked back at the TV the world was normal my virus had failed.
I looked worriedly at the door and moved to open it. There was no escaping it they had come to arrest me. I opened instead of police men or the army I found a guy with a suitcase wearing black suit. “I am going to ask you to accompany me sir" he spoke in a crisp professional manner. "Is he an Agent?" I thought to myself but reluctantly followed him into the waiting black limo. "Do they take prisoners in Limos?".
The limo was fully decked with all luxuries and facilities now I knew something was off. The ST21 virus was designed by me to start killing the human population to 0.1% of its current amount. It had to be highly contagious, I had cleverly guised the virus as a cure for cancer but by now the world scientist must already have seen past that. The Limo came to halt. The black suit man opened the door and lead me through the underground parking. An elevator took us into a private suite. Waiting for us on a round table were a group of esteemed scientist and political leaders. "Congratulations" "Well Done" "Good Job" "WoW" were the shouts that echoed through the room.
Not the response I expected. Were they being sarcastic, were they being condescending, were they mocking me. My anger was rising, they had obviously seen my viruses true intention so why were they patronizing me. The look of the scientist staring at me, smiling, congratulating esteemed people from across the globe laughing at me. I broke down. “Yes I designed that virus for a genocide, to kill all of you. I wanted everyone on this planet dead. I wanted to restart the human population. It is the only way to save this planet can't you see?” A flood of emotions took over me and I fell on my knees expecting someone to come and handcuff me or shoot me. Instead the council looked back at me their facial expression completely changed they went from happy to WTF. A file fell before me “ST21 Control Case study; Result : Cures Cancer”.

The Seduction of the Demon Part 1

"Come on we will get left behind" "One minute" I shouted back. Fumbling with my phone for the perfect shot of the beautiful green hills that stretched before me. There I said to myself the perfect shot. That is when i noticed it lying near the stream. "Come on slow poke" came my cousins voice from a distance. If I had turned away and walked then, things would have been different.
I approached the object and picked it up. It was a wooden mask with inscriptions in some weird language all around its sides. i turned the mask and looked at its back, "That is strange" I thought the mask did not have any slits or holes where the eyes would go neither one for breathing."I wonder if it was only for decorations". I continued starting at the mask something compelling me to try it on.
"BOO" I heard and something lightly pushed me from behind. The mask flew from my fingers and fell into the stream and was promptly washed downstream."God Jannis don't do that again" I shouted to my cousin. "What are you doing here the family is waiting for you" She replied "I am coming" I said with one last glance at the river I started running after my cousin.
Later at the Hotel I slumped down on my bed. The day had been tiring and i was ready to fall asleep. As I turned sideways my heart skipped a beat. Lying on my bed side table was the Mask the exact same one I had dropped in the morning."That's impossible" I shouted out loud. "Why is that" came the reply. I turned as fast as my body would allow and then promptly fell back and down the bed. Sitting in the corner of my room was a girl a cute 10 year old girl with red demon horns,wings and a tail that was 3 times longer than her.
She wrapped it around herself and was playing with the end. "Who are you I asked and what are you doing here" I asked as calmly as i could. "I am a demon and that is my mask" She replied flatly as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Then take it and Leave me alone". "Yea see its more complicated than that. That mask has a mind of its own and since you touched it this morning It attached to you,It tends to do that a lot its super frustrating Anyways since now you have claimed the mask you are its owner And i cannot take it back unless you were to die or give up its ownership willingly but you would need to wear it once to do that.". "And what happens if I wear it" I asked fearing the worst. "Well you will gain Rak'if Which is an demonic power that will allow you to convince anyone to do your bidding oh and don't worry you will look normal the mask kinda disappears after you put it on."
She yawned and stretched and then continued "Of course they will only be able to do things that they are physically capable but you will be surprised how much the power of the mask can push them to their limit". "Has anyone worn this mask before me" I asked now feeling oddly comfortable with this scenario. "A few of them, None for good. They were all good people corrupted by the power of Rak'if, They all planned to build a utopian world with the power but all failed and were killed by the people they hoped to control.". Superhero or Admin

I woke up to to a loud noise of human chatter. Walking to the mirror i wondered why my neighbors were being so noisy today. As i stood in front of the mirror my blurry vision clearing I noticed it for the first time. Hovering above my head were the words "Admin" in bright red. "What the " I said to myself. I moved my hand to remove it and it and it went right through it like it was not even there. I moved left right and tilted my head and even moved back and forth but the Admin stayed put.
I quickly got on video chat with my friend to gain an explanation. His face appeared on screen eyes shut from the extreme brightness of his phone and spitting curses at me for waking him up. But the most weird part was the Blue colored text above his head that read User and towards the left of that were some stats. His name,Life Karma,Age etc. " Dude what is happening to us what are these freaky titles doing above our head". "The freaky what?" he said groggily. But by that point he was wide awake surely he had noticed the Admin above my head or the User above my head. Nothing no Reaction from him. I panicked and disconnected the call. I walked out to my balcony hesitantly and sure enough everyone below me had the Titles floating above their head along with their information that i could read as easily as an open book. Peoople even complete strangers to me had their life history open to me. This is getting weird I thought. I opened my phone again and noticed a weird new app i did not remember downloading It was named Admin Control. I opened it and the first thing said "1434 Flagged Activities awaiting your attention"
3 Hours Later.
"So yea that's the gist of it." I said as we walked along the sidewalk of a busy city. i noticed people all around me with their Titles displayed clearly. Walking beside me was the girl I met this morning and the only other person who had Admin as her Title. At first I had been relieved to finally meet her i had thought she would explain everything to me and my duties will become clear to me but unfortunately she was just as lost as me. She had discovered the Titles just one day before me. "I am glad i met you i have found more about our duties in the last 2 hours than I did in one day you seem to have a knack for this kind of thing". "I was once an admin for an internet forum although this gig is more of a superhero deal I guess." I looked at my phone again:"3 Flagged activities within 5 kms". we navigated to the nearest one using our instant teleport. Two menacing burly men, one with a knife and a scared thin Guy fumbling to take off his ring while his glasses lay shattered on the ground. The burly men had a Karma negative 500 each. while the guy was at a positive 20. "Get out of here or you will be sorry you came here" One man shouted while waving his knife menacingly. I looked at the guy opened his inventory selected knife and clicked delete. Poof the knife disappeared. "You plan to threaten me with what?" I asked him calmly. At this point he started to freak out backing away from me he shouted "Devil". I started walking towards him opened my control panel selected the two men, Ban user, Time period 2 hours. "I Think you need to reflect for sometime on what bad things you have done" Confirm Ban.

"Activate the lightning procedure" commanded Starship Captain Avink "and run the atmosphere analysis again". In the orbit of Planet #E4R7H Starship Kami9 released thunder storm on the planet."We have a match sir the Atmospheric spectral analysis match the Template" shouted Second in Command Drek. Captain Avink looked happy for the first time in years he looked happy. After having reached the deepest part of the Universe humanity had found that they were truly alone in the universe. Thanks to the FTL travel Drive exploration of the entire Universe had taken less than 4 decades. Scientist had been baffled to discover that all planets they had identified as being capable of holding life had been completely deserted. Even Cellular life was absent everywhere. Every planet always lacked one thing or a parameter a little off to support life. That is when the One World Government decided to launch Operation Miller–Urey. In an attempt to create another habitable planet they Started to terraform Planets to support life. This was the first test in this program Spaceship Kami3 was equipped to terraform and observe earth like planet Planet #E4R7H. As Captain Avink watched the planet below him reach the exact same condition as that of young earth he wondered if this was what it felt like to be God. Then again humans were as close to a god as one could get in this age... It was no surprise that the Spaceship itself was named Kami or God in Moon Speak. Avinks Orders were clear spark life on the Planet and observe ONLY.
